Mr. Takata is Representative Director and Managing Partner at Syntech Japan, a clean energy startup involved in biomass power generation. He also serves as Chief Executive Officer with Bali Energy Ltd, a geothermal power generation development project in Indonesia. Previously, Mr. Takata was at Goldman Sachs where he was Managing Director in charge of financial institutions coverage for financing buyouts, securitized assets and other credit transactions. Prior to Goldman, he was with Credit Suisse First Boston as Director in derivatives. Mr. Takata earned a BS from Tufts University and MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, and currently resides in Tokyo
