Kohima Hisashi is an alumnus of the TOMODACHI Microsoft iLEAP Social Innovation and Leadership Program 2017. Through the program, he learned that in addition to leadership, expertise and networks are essential for solving social problems. He is a doctoral student in information science at Saga University, where he studies search engine technologies. Inspired by his hobby of playing piano, he began to wonder why piano keys are only black and white. Together with a junior student in his laboratory, he is developing a product called “Pianura” that allows people to enjoy the piano visually as well.
