Hannah Fulton is an alumna of the 2022-2023 U.S.-Japan Council Toshizo Watanabe Study Abroad Scholarship Program, and previously supported TOMODACHI as a program intern. She also currently serves as one of the Core Committee members for the California region of the TOMODACHI Regional Framework. Through this scholarship, she was able to study abroad at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto for 1 year while an undergraduate student. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese Language & Culture from California State University Monterey Bay in 2024. Hannah returned to Japan after graduating to work as an Assistant Language Teacher through the JET Program, where she now teaches in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture.
